Introduction to Agility Classes (Level I)
Thursdays
6 weeks
Prerequisites:
All dogs must be at least 1 year old and all dogs and handlers must have
completed at least a basic obedience class

The Introduction to Agility Class will be exactly that, and introduction to all of
the agility equipment to the dog and handler.  The instructor will teach the
handler how to teach the dog to complete the obstacles in a safe and fun
manner using positive reinforcement techniques including treats and toys for
rewards.  This class is a great confidence builder to the timid or not so
confident dog by building on the relationship between dog and handler.

Intermediate Agility Class (Level II)
Fridays

6 weeks
Prerequisites:
All dogs and handlers must have completed the Introduction to Agility Class

The Intermediate Agility Class will build on the foundation that has developed
from the Introduction Class. We will increase and solidify the dog's confidence
on the contact obstacles and introduce methods for "getting the contacts".
We will be weening the dogs over to 100% off leash for exercises and
increasing the distance between the dog and handler. Various methods for
successful weave poles will be taught. We will also be introducing more
technical handling skills to owners.
